"Hide" is a song about that moment when you realize you love someone who isn't able to be fully there for you. And I'm not just talking about romantic love. It could be a friend, someone close, who suddenly starts to pull away and hide behind excuses. When you give everything and receive silence in return. I wrote it for everyone who ever asked themselves: "Does this relationship still exist, or is it just its shadow?" The Swahili part is very personal to me - these are words I would only say in the language of my roots, because some emotions have no translation.
